Afton Express Expansion Schedule Released

We are pleased to share the revised schedule (February 2023 Expanded Schedule and FAQs) for the Afton Express expanded service scheduled to go into effect in February 2023. A proposed expanded schedule was released in December for a public comment period. The proposed schedule included the expanded times in the morning and evening, a new stop added at The Omni in Charlottesville, and modifications to existing departure times.

Based on the feedback received during the comment period, modifications were made. The new schedule adds a new loop in the morning and evening to serve 12-hour shift workers while keeping much of the existing schedule the same. The expansion also adds a new stop at The Omni, and all trips will now service the Staunton Mall.

We hope this schedule works well for our existing riders while also providing accessibility to new riders. The schedule will go into effect on Monday, February 13th. If you have any questions, please contact Afton Express Planner, Paula Melester (paula@cspdc.org).
